I want to get my mom a 6 by trading in her 4S for $200. I plan on fronting her the initial phone cost and then she will give me the $200 gift card once she receives it. Does anyone know if this is possible? I wasn't sure if the the card would be tied to her account. Also, will the amount just get credited to my account and applied to my billing costs?

When you trade in, they will give you the gift card right there and use it to pay for the new phone. There is no waiting for it. It's all one transaction.

I submitted it online and they are sending a package to mail the phone back. Should I just take her to the store instead? When do they take the old phone?
