Okay, I am getting bored of ios. I have had experience with android , and would like to try to get a new phone. Okay, so I read that they will give you money for your phones. My friends mom got 160 for a 3G. So if I go to Verizon and get mine appraised, could I sell it it is still on contract? As long as I stay with the same contract, I am pretty sure that I could add a phone to it. I also read that if I sell, I can buy a new phone for my contract for the price of a contract phone. What do you know about it?

Your contract if for you to maintain the line. You can use whatever phone you want.

I agree, maybe for a 3GS but that's still high.
Usually when trading in they take it for 1/3 of the price you can sell it yourself on CL or Ebay.
