Carrier Verizon Unlimited Data Sim Card Switch Work?

I currently have unlimited data on my line. I am trying to upgrade to the iPhone 7 but it is forcing me to choose 2GB. If I choose 2GB when my phone comes in if I switch the sim cards with the one from my old phone with unlimited data will I still have my unlimited data?

I know it worked last year thats why I was asking.

The only way around it is to order the phone through Apple.com at full price or use their Apple Upgrade program. That is what I used last year and this year.

If you change to the 2GB plan it will provision your account off of the unlimited.
