Any Verizon customers struggling with this decision? Currently on Get More Unlimited, which gives me 75GB premium data (don't come close to the cap). Verizon recommends switching to Get More Unlimited 5G UW, which drops the premium data down to 50GB, but gives me disney+ bundle for free (which I use). GMU 5G UW also offers 50% off connected devices (we have a lot of devices...so this comes into play, but will only save $5 since it will apply to an Apple Watch). Prob makes sense to do it, but hate the idea of losing 25GB premium data (which I know makes no sense since it never comes into play).

Carrier Verizon Unlimited: upgrade to 5G UW or keep current?

I made the switch from a more unlimited plan. New plan needed to take advantage of the 5g i guess.
I don’t think so. Verizon is just being a bit misleading. Both plans offer complete access to their 5G network.
I went to check my plan. I have the Above Unlimited. It already says 5G Ultra Wide and Nationwide coverage. I didn't have to do anything. Verizon rules.
I get a kick out of Verizon. I selected the $45 a month 5G UW unlimited plan. Everyone knows it’s not $45 because they add the device fee, and after taxes and other fees, my bill comes out to $83 a month. At least it ended up being $2 less than my current plan.
Same boat....I think I'm just getting needlessly into the details that ultimately won't really matter one way or the other. It comes down to whether getting disney+/hulu/espn+ (which I'll use) is worth the 25gb I give up (I don't think I've used remotely close to 50gb, let alone 75gb). Yeah...I guess it makes sense to make the switch...
I wasn’t aware about the Hulu,Disney+, and ESPN+. I already have two and wouldn’t mind the third if included. So I switched mine. Thanks for the heads up.
What’s the difference? When I check the maps, all I see is either 4G LTE or 5G ultra wide band. I’m not seeing a regular 5G.
Is the Nationwide 5G with LTE any real 5G? Not the Ultraband.

I had the new unlimited Verizon plan from years back and it had 5G Nationwide but no 5G UW. I did the switch since it ended up being cheaper to upgrade and we get the extra Disney bundle for free.
I’m on the old new unlimited plan from a couple years back with 5G with none of the perks. I did get Disney+ for 6 months though. I’m wondering should I switch to the new plans? My premium data “cap” is 22 gigs which I go over every month without issue.
The answer gets muddled really fast. Generally speaking, if your old cap was 22 gigs, the new plans make sense (since they all offer 50gb of premium data). Which plan depends on 1. how much you value Apple Music and/or hulu/disney/espn) and what other devices you have (some plans offer a 50% discount on a connected device).
So im on the new verizon plan unlimited with 22 cap in a family of 4, what would you recommend I do?
I don't remember the details on the 22gb plan, but (again, generally speaking...without knowing all your devices, etc): 1. if you want the disney/hulu/espn+ and/or Apple Music AND you have another connected device (iPad, watch, etc) go with the 'get more unlimited' package, since it includes disney/hulu/espn, Apple Music, AND 50% off a connected device. 2. if you want disney/hulu/espn+ but NOT Apple Music and you DO NOT have a connected device, go with the 'play more unlimited' package, which will save you $10 vs the 'get more unlimited' plan. 3. if you don't care about disney/hulu/espn/Apple Music but you DO have a connected device, go with 'do more unlimited', which will also save you $10 vs the 'get more unlimited'. Clear as mud, right?
Well the problem is only will have two phones that have the 5GU capability. I don't want to change every phones plan.
and that's why it's murky...switching to a 5G plan didn't cost anything more for me...plans are the same price as what I had...just do what works for you.
I also have the "new verizon plan unlimited" plan - do we have a consensus if this is worth KEEPING or switching to the "Play More" plan?
