Can anyone verify that this actually works? Verizon has it where you can transfer the upgrade to a different line when you go to make the purchase.

I will be using another line's upgrade when I upgrade. When I did this a few years ago, my order got cancelled because you weren't allowed to do it that way even though Verizon advertises that way and you can actually set it up that way alone.

Has this changed? Anyone done this? If this is not an option, what would be the easiest way to activate the phone on my line when I receive the phone?

----------

Also, is Verizon still charging a $30 upgrade fee? Or has that gone away?

I am doing the same thing you are and last night I went on to my verizon account and there was a option for transferring your upgrade and yes, they still charge a 30 dollar upgrade fee

I'm in the same boat. Can we not just order it for the original line, activate it on that line, and instantly activate it on the line we want it on? And just reactivate the old phone?
