Hello everyone,

I did a search and it seems most people that are using Verizon family plan work around to get IP5 want to either add or straight upgrade a dumb phone line, get IP5 and then drop data plan from dumb phone line. My plan is a little different so I created this thread to make sure I do the right thing and keep my UL data:

Current situation:

Line 1- IP4 UL
Line 2- IP4 UL
Line 3- dumb phone
Line 4- dumb phone
Line 5- dumb phone

What I want to achieve:

Line 1- IP5 UL
Line 2- IP5 UL
Line 3- IP4 2 GB
Line 4- IP4 2 GB
Line 5- dumb phone

All lines are eligible for upgrade on 10.10.12

My plan is:

Order IP5 for Lines 3 and 4, when I get them activate then on line 1 and 2 bypassing activation on lines 3 and 4. The activate existing IP4s on lines 3 and 4.

Questions:

1. I keep hearing about needing to wait 24 hrs before moving IP5 to a different line. Would this apply here?

2. Will I keep my unlimited this way?

3. Do I need a different IP5 sim or will the original work with line 1 and 2 activation.

Thanks for your help!
