I have an iPad 16GB LTE for Verizon coming today and I have a XOOM 4G LTE right now with a regular 4G SIM Card. I know I can cut the SIM Card so it fits microsim slot of the iPad but is it as easy as just removing the one that comes with the iPad and dropping in the one from the XOOM? Anybody have any experience with this? Do I need to go to Verizon or their website to activate or something?

Thanks in advance.

For anyone in the same boat, regardless what Verion told me I got it to work.

1. Cut current SIM to microsim size
2. Insert into iPad
3. Turn it on.
4. Login to Verizon Wireless account on computer and select Upgrade/Change device. Type in the MEID from back of iPad.
5. It'll now prompt you for a SIM number but it wouldn't accept it for me.

Boom. You now have an iPad LTE using your existing account instead of having yet another one. I was worried that the part of entering my SIM wasn't working but my iPad is working great with LTE and when I login to my Verizon account, it correctly shows an iPad.

Suck it Verizon, they told me this wasn't possible and the iPad can only do month to month.

Right on man, what kind of a plan do you have?
