iOS Version Number

Can we upload our first binary of the application with Version number as 1.1
I got approved 1.0 version, and I had made some changes and updated to 1.1 (without releasing the application to appstore at all).

Does it make any issue.

I'm pretty sure you can have any version number you want. Google have had some pretty odd version numbers...
