Hello members,

I've been using the dev version of Google Chrome for several months now, but i'm wondering is it worth my time and switch to the stable version. One issue I have is background updating. What version are you using?

I'm using two different builds.

1) The regular version which auto-updates quite frequently. I'm posting via iPhone so I cant check it now, but it was at 13.x.x.x a week or so ago. It's really nice. Super fast & stable.

2) The other build I run is Canary. The beauty is these two can be run together with no conflicts. However the only reason I run Canary is because I'm a cross platform software engineer.

For day to day use, the regular build of Chrome is so good there's no need for anything else.

Just as a counter-opinion, I've never noticed any disadvantages to using the beta channel. The only thing that's kind of silly is that my notebook isn't online all the time, and Chrome is updated so many times that I'm frequently using a beta of the previous release version!

Just auto-updated to 14.0.835.163...now supports 2 finger swipe. Very stable in my use.

I'm using 16.0.887.0 canary, and loving it. Works perfectly, unless I don't quit and reopen once every few days minimum, because of the updates.
