I have a Vertex 3 in my 2011 MBP and it's been great for the year I've had it. I have an old 2008 aluminum MB which is basically now our backup/second computer. I am wanting to put an SSD in it, too. Ay reason why a Vertex 3 wouldn't work? It's SATAIII and the MB is SATAII. Anybody had a prblem with that?
Thanks!

I could put a Vertex 3 in my 2009 MBP, but I had to apply a firmware update to it to make it work at S-ATA 3.0 Gbps (S-ATA II) speeds, as it was somehow limited to S-ATA 1.5 Gbps (S-ATA I) speeds. Maybe have a look at the OCZ Vertex 3 forum for similar topics?
