i've got a question for vertex 3 (or any ssd for that matter) on the mbp. i installed the 240gb v3 in my 2011 15" mbp. on istat, the temperature on the HDD reads 128 C! yikes!

this can't be true, can it? the bottom casing below the sdd is not hot at all. what do your temperature reads? is there a fix?

It's a false reading and there is no fix at this time. There are several threads on this, like this one: SSD temp

thanks... i figured that it was a false reading, but googling didn't give me any answers. i love this macrumor forum group.
