VERTICAL LINE | iMac 2011 | HELP!!

i have a vertical line on the left side of my iMac screen.

anybody here got a same problem? is there any fix for this?

i tried the iMac graphic fw update 2.0, but i can't install it, it says its not compatible (I'm on Maverick 10.9).

White Background:

i don't know why, but it doesn't appear on white backgrounds.
