So, I got my iPhone 4 on launch day here in Canada and about a week ago this vertical strip of dead/or stuck pixels showed up running from top to bottom on the left side of the screen. I thought it might have been some bad jailbreak app issue so I restored to normal 4.0.1 and it was still there, restored again and they were gone...for a day and then came back Sunday morning...So, I setup a genius bar appt, put back my black rear cover (had a white one on) and then about 2hours later the damn line goes away!!!

Oh, I did the knoxing stuck pixel fix for like 10min BUT that didn't seem to have helped.

damn you iPhone 4 for playing games with me...bonus thing is that for the moment I get to keep my jailbreakable phone

So, has anybody else experienced this kind of stuck pixel issue?

Sounds like a short on the connection to the display(hardware problem). Just explain that the issue is intermittent. Also you can try tapping around the screen or running an intensive app (to heat up the internals) to see if you can make the problem return.

good call on heating it phone, the damn line came back during the keynote while streaming it...the line flickered on and off for like 10min and now its on fully

new iphone 4, same issue

Just got back from store with my new iPhone 4 and have the same issue.

It worked fine and then started showing up 10mins ago. I'm hoping it will just disappear....disappointing
