Vertical lines?

I am familiar with the horizontal line issue which my MBA has.

However, recently I noticed a new phenomenon: On the left side of my screen, there are three vertical lines....they aren't completely straight, and each is about as wide as your pinky finger. They are only visible on dark backgrounds.

I have cleaned and re-cleaned my screen, and it is definitely something in the display, not on it.

Anyone had this happen before?
