As I am waiting my new macbook pro 13-inch :D I am in the market for buying a vertical stand for it as I plan to connect my machine into a SAMSUNG 22-inch monitor. Unfortunately in my country there is no a vertical stand in a physical store so I am forced to search through the internet.

I think the Twelve's South BookArc(http://www.amazon.com/Twelve-South-12-0901-BookArc/dp/B002LARBWM) is a good solution, however I don't know if the new macbooks fit in it. My logic says that it will fit, as the body of the macbooks didn't change since the last version but please I will appreciate it if someone could confirm this.

Also if someone has an alternative solution to propose I will also appreciate it

The new MBPs do fit in the BookArc.

Would I have to worry about heat?
The mbp gets hot while gaming.

I'm using the HengeDock on my 2011 MBP 13 and its very convenient. You just have to be gentle when docking it.

You don't have to worry about heat with a vertical stand or dock. This profile seems to dissipate heat quite well. I use a Henge dock with my 13" MBP and have had no problems with overheating.

I just had my hubby make me one out of some scrap wood, and I lined it with felt, and painted it white. Cost me $10.00 and works like a charm!:D
