Hey everyone. I'm giving Tags another shot, as I think it could be beneficial to my workflow. However, I'm coming across this incredibly annoying bug that I can't get around. See image.

I have added several tags in Finder preferences, and some of them appear to be sub-tags to others. They are indented in the Finder Tags window, and there is no way to drag them out. I've tried dragging them up/down and when I do, I still have two tags indented though the indented ones change to different tags. It does not appear that the Automotive tag is the parent to the Dental and Electrical tag in my example, but this kind of error makes me weary of relying on something so difficult to use. I only have about 15 total tags and I haven't applied any of them yet, the only way seems to be to delete all the tags and start over.

What is going on here? Thanks MR.

I've never seen this.

Neither has Google Images :(

There must be something I'm doing wrong, as I think I had it with my 5k iMac too. But there is really no way to drag them out. If screen recorder was easier, I'd make a recording. So frustrating.

And to add more strange details here: The problem has corrected itself.

After trying to get the tags to behave the way I wanted them to, I gave up for a while. I came back to look at it again, and the tags are all aligned normally. I had restarted macOS since then, so perhaps it's a visual glitch that a restart could help fix.

I don't think the tags were acting in a hierarchical way, but the indentation seemed to indicate that. Even though the problem might still come back and I have no idea what caused it, I'm posting my results here in case someone else comes across the problem in the future.
