I have some cheap lightning headphones that seem to work fine with my primary (mostly work) phone, an iPhone 14 Pro Max. But things get weird when I plug them into my secondary (personal) iPhone, an iPhone SE (3rd gen.) At first it shows a BeatsX logo and headphones, then fails to connect. And the SE will only output to its internal speaker. But if I play anything on my iPhone 14, I’ll hear the audio from the 14 on the knock off headphones even though they are *physically connected to the iPhone SE.*

Is this some sort of AirPlay thing? I did try disabling AirPlay as best I was able, but this weird audio redirection kept happening anyway.

How do I troubleshoot this?

You could try turning off bluetooth and wifi on both devices and rerunning your test.

This is bizarre but maybe these somehow pair via bluetooth and only get power via lightning?

Can you share which headphones they are?

Also a video of this would help greatly, your claim is almost unbelievable.
