My wife and I are currently looking to get the new Macbook Pro, and the 24" Imac. I probably won't go with the 3.06 processor but the one right below. My wife is a elementary school teacher and we've looked at the discount that she is capable of getting and it doesn't seem like such a good deal at only $100 off each item.

Is there other deals going on with either of these two products?

Many people seem to feel Amazon is one of the best deals around

I have never bought from Amazon, but from what I understand...

No sales tax saves a good bit
Free shipping
Excellent service/return policy

Of course there are fans and disgruntled buyers from Amazon

I've had good luck with apple refurbs from the apple store. they beat the education price, have full warranty, and you can upgrade to the apple care. When you get the applecare, do it through the education site, no matter where you get the computers. way cheaper through education, and you can purchase that warranty anytime during the first year. luck!

btw--if they don't have the puter you want, check back every couple days until they stock it, then buy it quick. Refurbs go fast.
