Hi, I also upgraded to 4.0 when it was released on my 2g Ipod touch 8gb. However apps were crashing, slowness and other negative features forced me to downgrade to ios 3.1.3.

I'm happy to say I'm very happy with 3.1.3 and apps are stable, battery life is good, fast response and all!

My advice: don't upgrade to 4.0 if you have a 2g ipod touch!

Glad to hear.

I had to downgrade as well. I was so excited for 4.0 :( Very slow, no multi-tasking (I enabled it through jailbreak but was very slow as well), and crashing apps. I'm going to miss the most the mini music player controls. It looks so cool on 4.0!!

I kept 3.1.3 on an ipt3G for different reasons- I like the appswitcher I installed after jailbreaking much more than OS4. The only thing I want is threaded email, but I can live without that...

Hey shankar2 and curlefry, would it be possible for you to share the method you used for downgrade to 3.1.3? I Googled and found a couple of ways to downgrade, except none of them would actually work for me. I also have a 2G iPod Touch, 8GB. Thanks a lot!
