I am one of those people who do not like the Mighty Mouse. I am as big of an Apple fan as they come but I simply could not stand this mouse. Pointing is fine with it, the right click is what I loathe.

Being that the iMac has bluetooth I figured getting a BT mouse would be a simple solution. Well there are not that many to choose from. Add to that the fact that I wanted it to match the aluminum keyboard and my choices were even narrower. Thankfully Logitech offers the V270 which is BT and silver.

When I received it I was not sure that I was thrilled with it. The pointer did not seem accurate, I felt like I was controlling it but not in a fine way like the Mighty Mouse had. Add to that the battery low indicator flashing on the third day of owning it and I was not a happy camper. Then I made a realization, perhaps the batteries dying so quickly and the lack of precision were related? I replaced the batteries with a pair of 2000 mAh rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries. Immediately the mouse felt more precise, it felt like a normal mouse to me. The batteries have been in the mouse now going on 6 days and they are still going strong. I now am convinced that my V270 shipped with batteries that were either going bad or simply of subpar quality.

With the NIMH batteries I am now completely pleased with this mouse and can recommend it 100%.
