Hello, I recently stepped (very lightly, far from full weight) on a closed macbook pro (retina 15" mid-2014) lid, but I noticed it soon enough so I didn't put my weight on it (at least not noticeable weight). There is no visible damage on the outside (on the lid), or the inside, so display looks perfectly normal. What I am wondering is if it is possible that I damaged something inside display assembly that will show up later, like months later? I am probably just overreacting but it is a brand new macbook and i'm a little worried, so if someone with knowledge of LCD displays could say something about it, it would be much appreciated.

Well if its working, no dent, you may have dodge a bullet. I'd say its probably fine.

There aren't any moving parts in a display, if it works fine now, any problem you encounter later will not be related to your almost stepping on it.

Ok, thanks guys. I probably didnt apply more pressure than if you press the lid down with your hand a little firmer just to touch aluminum with whatever comes next, so I guess i really dodged a bullet this time. Will definitely be more careful next time.
