First of all, been using Mac Rumors a lot and has helped me out tremendously over the past year or so.

Machine:
Mac Pro 1,1
2x - dual-core 2.66 intel Woodcrest
4GB ram
2x seagate 500gb drives
2x dvd burner optical drives
7300GT

Problem:
Mac Pro loads mysterious grey screen only (no logo, though it makes chime sound) with absolutely NO keyboard support at all. I've tried all the possible commands, keys to hold down while booting. There is just simply no keyboard support in any usb slot (using mac pro wired flat keyboard as well)
If I have my Mac OSX hard drive in bay 1 (or any bays) it will stay at grey screen for a few minutes, then eventually black screen with blinking cursor... Followed by Please insert a bootable disk then press any key. (doesn't matter if i have OSX dvd inserted, or my jump drives with OSX install inserte. Simple will not see them, or allow keyboard commands)

I did confirm my main OSX hard drive has a problem and attempted to fix twice in disk warrior *see image attachments.
Also I'm able to open the disk mounted in another computer and view/copy files. So the drive isn't totally useless yet.

However I have a brand new oem sata drive with OSX installed - via macbook and sata/usb adapter. Still will not post or even show apple logo.

The weird part:
My 500gb sata drive with Windows 7 Ultimate will always post and load just fine. I'm even able to play games for hours under windows. So the hardware of the computer must be fine. I've had two hard drives, 1 osx 10.6.7, 1 windows 7 ultimate, for over a month. Holding alt while booting always seemed to work between choosing which OS to boot.
(no bootcamp as it is not compatible with this machine and win 7 x86)
Last OSX update i remember doing slightly before this crash was just a lexmark printer driver. I don't think that would have crashed my computer.
...
Except this one time I went to switch from OSX to windows, It would not allow me to switch back to OSX. AHHH! I've tried everything I can think of except trying a new Apple branded video card. Is it possible my 7300GT has a ruined EFI ?
I have a PC version 8800GTS that works just fine under windows. I've been carefully swapping the cards out when I was feeling like playing some games.

This is driving me nuts, if anyone has any advice I would love to hear it. Could something possible be wrong with my logic board? Even if windows still works just fine?
Please help, i'm very close to bringing it to the mac store and unhappily having them tell me I need to spend 2g's on a new computer..

Thanks for your time,
-Daniel

I should note i've pushed the SMC reset button on the motherboard near diagnostic led's, same thing keeps happening.

Not sure if anyone was reading this.. But I was able to download and install bootcamp from a cd to my win7 hard drive (didn't use it while installing windows in the first place). Which gave me the option to choose which hard drive I wanted to boot with..

I then installed a fresh install of OSX on a brand new hard drive, (also tried booting again through bootcamp with the original one, with no luck.)
Something must have happened to the original seagate 500gb drive with OSX on it. Something major.
Will try a complete erase and maybe it'll be good for something, maybe not an OS install disk though..

HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders.
