I totally get why this ask is not the default setting, but is there any way to make two keyboards be seen as a single input device (for modifier keys)? Let me explain… I wanted to try out a split keyboard but turns out I’m way too used to both the Apple magic keyboard and typing B with my left hand to use anything manufactured as split. So I bought a second magic keyboard. It works great for typing but because the system sees them as separate devices the modifier keys don’t effect the other keyboard. So instead of holding command with my left hand and hitting U to underline, I just get a U letter. Is there any chance something out there exists that would allow me to use these two keyboards as a “split pair”?

Keith Emerson did that with 2 moog keyboards and composed "KarnEvil #9"
this was in the mid 1970's tho.

'probably the best reply or advice on this you might receive.

I wonder if this is something that ControllerMate.app can solve. It hasn't been updated since macOS Mojave but some of its functions still work (don't know if the function you need exists or still works).
