Very protective cases without a built in screen protector?

I'm looking for something like the Otterbox Defender without the screen protector. And maybe even without all of the faceplate (the top part being covered is fine). Thanks!

Doesnt it leave a gap? Anyways, i wouldnt mind exploring other options--while I love the defender, its a bit too wide IMO.
