whats the best ram (4gig) for the 13" macbook aluminium
(collectors edition) :) you can buy in the UK.

Thanks in advance

The CEs are very finickity with RAM. I'd advise buying direct from Crucial using their memory selector first, then if you have any problems you can go straight to them knowing they have assured compatibility.

ok thanks man, ive heard alot about crucial ram, its ok with the macbook aluminiums

hi again,

thanks for the replies, ive just been on the crucial uk site and you can download a mac scanner, you run it then it shows a webpage with recommended upgrades, it seems like you can pick up 4gig of ram for £45.

does the jump from 2gig of ram to 4gig of ram really make a difference?

i use my macbook for uni work, the odd few hours of world of warcraft, lots of itunes (which seems better than using itunes on a pc, more responsive etc) burning dvds, etc...

*edit

it bought up this specific one,

4GB kit (2GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-8500 memory module

I've been using 4gb of ram from crucial for a little more then one month now, it works flawlessly and everything is snappy!

No problems at all so far.
