Hey all,

About to hit confirm on buying my refurb 21.5" iMac, but I was perplexed by the shipping info given.

Free Shipping- Delivers: December 31st-January 7th.
2 Day Shipping- Delivers: December 31st-January 6th. ($27)
Next Day Shipping- Delivers: December 31st-January 5th. ($38)

I'm fine with paying the $40 for next day shipping (it's 3 A.M, 1 A.M. Pacific). Presumably with 'next day shipping' I would order today (29th), it would be shipped today (29th), and I would receive on the 30th (tomorrow at this point). Today is not a holiday, or is tomorrow, nor is FedEx off on New Years Eve. Why would it say delivery from the 31st-5th?

Or is the online info just incorrect and would I presumably get it on the 30th or 31st?

Thanks!

Sometimes there is a process before they ship the computer but usually if your Mac is available, and as long as it's not BTO, they ship it out pretty fast (within 24 hours)

The dates they quote probably take BTO orders into consideration.

If you choose next day my guess is it'll arrive the 31st (again, assuming your iMac is not BTO)

Thanks for the info.

Even if there is a 'process,' presumably I would get it before January 3rd at the latest.

What would such a process entail?

Also, it's just a refurb so it's available and not BTO.

Where are you located?
....

In the past I've purchased refurbished twice. Both times my Mac was shipped from Elk Grove, CA, and both times I got them next day even though I chose standard shipping because I live a city away from Elk Grove.

So from my experience they ship refurbs out immediately. The rest is shipping transit time.

Thanks for the advice! Just placed my order with next day.

If it doesn't come by the 31st I'll just call and demand a refund for the shipping cost (because there should only be 1 day off for FedEx between now and the 2nd; the 1st). So if next-day somehow turns into 4 business days, I'm sure Apple won't have a problem compensating me somehow.
