Hi,

My beautiful Thunderbolt Display arrived yesterday for my Macbook Air, but it actually got here before the keyboard and mouse did. So right now I'm typing on my Air while using the Thunderbolt display. Is it normal that my Air screen is white/gray when I'm using the TD? And that my mouse can still travel to it? I assume this will be resolved when I am able to close the lid.

Thanks!

Sorry, I just realized what the issue was there. But I guess there is no way to make the display monitor the only monitor? (i.e., the mouse would not go off the display to my Air?) Perhaps this is only available when I close the computer's lid.

Correct. When the lid is closed the computer will only recognize the external display. When the lid is open, it assumes you want to use the internal screen as well.

Not sure why it would be white though. Should pop up by default with the standard desktop picture/wallpaper, though you can change it to whatever you want.
