very slooowww syncing with Outllok just to get notes

I sync my iphone 4 with my imac at home, but have about 150 notes in outlook at work which I sync once a month. I don't sync anythign else with my work pc but it takes over an hour to update 150 very short txt notes?

Is this normal?
