I have encountered very slow transfer speeds (strangely, they hover right around 1.1 MB/s) ever since I introduced a new NAS into my Mac and PC environment. It seems that it's all types of transfers to the NAS through my Macbook (hardwired) either from local files, external firewire/usb drives, or even from a different NAS.

What is interesting is that transferring files from my PC to the new NAS result in advertised speeds (45-50 MB/s).

I have tested out local transfer speeds on the Macbook to test out it's hard drive, but it's running just fine.

This leads me to believe that something is wrong on the Macbook-side of things. I don't believe that it is the ethernet cable, as download speeds (internet) with it are just fine.

Any ideas about what is causing this issue?
