Kind of new to Macs still, but I just recently installed Windows XP through boot camp. Now, the new HD partition icon that appears on my iMac's desktop is my problem. It's named "Untitled" by default and I can't seem to edit it...How do I? Also, is there a way to get rid of the icon itself? I'm obsessive compulsive about my desktop...haha.
Well, any help for this Mac newbie would be great!

You can change its name by clicking on its name and then typing the new name, or use the Get Info command (command+I), also you can eject it (unmount it) by dragging it to your trash.
To remount it you may need either to restart or open Disk Utility to mount it.

To remove it from the desktop, go to Finder Preferences and under the heading "Show these items on the desktop" uncheck external disk. From what I can remember the windows disk is classed as an external (I hope !!!!) Give it a try.

Fantastic! Thanks everyone. Oh, Father Jack, the selection for the Windows partition is under "CDs, DVDs, and iPods." That's strange to me...I'd assume it would be under External disks too  Oh well, thanks again!
