Is any one else experiencing this.

As a preemptive move to be able to use my new MBA (M1) with my existing peripherals I purchased one of these adapters that gives you multiple connection options for USB-A, SD card, HDMI, etc. I guess I could use them to pass through power to charge the MBA but not my purpose for having one.

Anyway got the first one (Vava) that was recommended in a couple of articles but it was very snug to connect and release from either of the two USB-C ports available. Seemed odd since Apple's charging cable went in very smoothly. I got another one (Anker), same thing, getting it in and out is a two-handed operation (no jokes please) with a level of effort way above the Apple charging cable. I have no case on the MBA.

I'm inclined to return both. Apple has an approved unit (Belkin) in their store but not sure it would be different. And I'm sure its not the MBA (hint of sarcasm) but thought about taking the unit to the Genius bar and asking a genius to try it for their thoughts.

I'd like to have one of these things around since I won't know when I'll need it (plus my brother printer is pre-Airprint) but wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem or has an adapter recommendation. Thank you!

They are a little tight, I found.
Probably best to take care with them I would say as I suspect they'll become the laptop's weak spots with the amount of use they'll get over a few years. They're likely to become more "baggy".
