Hello,
Gonna try and make this to the points as possible. I have my own mail server, have used the same hoster for years with no issues. I have 4 different adresses all configured into Apple mail, all working perfectly well for years. My wife has had 1 address configured on her own Macbook Pro for years, no issues.
I've now created one new address for her work on the server side. I just tried to add that new address on her Apple mail app. I filled in all the correct info, copying it from her other address.
And now, like magic, mail app can't connect to both of her addresses. Worse: my own 4 addresses, on y own computer, are all offline as well.
If I try to access our email through the webmail interface, everything works. In other words, the email addresses themselves work fine. It's just the apple mail app that crapped.
Why/how on earth could that happen? And, most importantly, how can I fix it?
Thanks.
Edit: the problem went away as magically as it appeared. Still curious as to why.
