Alright guys,

I got a problem that is somewhat unique. I'm sure most of you have seen this issue online so I'll cut straight to it.

I have a converted black to white Iphone 4. The proximity sensor works 85% fine. So you're probably wondering what's up with the other 15% of the time? Well, when exposed to bright lights (i.e outside in the sun, or inside in a normally lit room), the proximity sensor flashes on and off, because the lights bounce off the white screen.

Apple has fixed this issue with their officially released white Iphone 4 by making the proximity sensor black from the inside.

So my question is simple: Is the only way to fix mine, by opening up the whole phone and darkening in the dots? Is there a way to do it without opening up the phone?

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
