Apple is planning an Apple Watch Activity Challenge to honor Veterans Day, which takes place next Monday in the United States. Apple Watch owners are tasked with doing any workout for 11 minutes or more on November 11.

Apple Watch owners who complete the challenge will win an Apple Watch activity award in the Fitness app.

Earn this award on November 11 by doing any workout for 11 minutes or more. Record your time with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.
Like all of Apple's Activity Challenges, the Veterans Day event will come with animated stickers that can be found in the Messages app.

As a US Air Force Vietnam Era veteran, I accept the challenge! My avatar is the beer can DI (decorative insignia) of the 19th Air Commando Squadron, later the 19th Tactical Airlift Squadron, based at Tan Son Nhut AFB. My tour was spent TDY at Udorn RTAFB in Thailand, the setting of the Mel Gibson movie, "Air America."

Because of course there’s no other country where something similar is taking place…like the UK. Jeez, the naivety.

That's really confusing. No idea what you mean.
Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day (November 11th) owing to the tradition of wearing a remembrance poppy) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealthmember states since the end of the First World Warto honour armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.

Essentially the equivalent to Veterans Day in the USA i.e remembering those who have fought for their country.

@-DMN- I’m curious as to why you would down vote this post? Are others who fought for their country who are not in the USA not worthy?

I moved to Europe before the election. I currently have both my American phone number and my EU number. Will I get activity challenges for my new country, the United States or both?

There’s still time if you’re on the west coast, once again I forgot but just remembered, I couldn’t even find a thing about this in the Apple fitness app. If people didn’t read MacRumors or another Apple site they’d have no clue these things even existed. Not sure why Apple seems like these things are a secret.
