I have to reinstall OS9 on my G3 imac and need to hook up an external display because the guy who had it before me tried to update before running the firmware upgrades so (hopefully) i can reinstall OS 9 and get it up to par before upgrading to OSX. Now my question is this: Does anyone know of a connector that i can use to adapt the 15 PIN VGA port to one that connects to a flat panel or other newer monitor so i can use that to update?

any help or comments on how im going about this would be great

Kind of depends on the panel. If it has a DVI-I port then it should accept an analogue signal via a simple cable. If it only supports DVD-D then you will need something to convert the signal to digital.

dont have it in front of me but its the flat panel that came with the G4 Quicksilver with the mirrored drive doors or my other option would be a dell monitor
