does anyone know of a dvi to wxga or vga to wxga adapter?

i ask since my windows laptops hard drive died and after looking up ide hard drive prices, decided that it was too pricey to replace

with that said, is there an adapter from vga or dvi to wxga? this is so i can still use the screen
