Hi:

I get stuck with this assignment for my daughters ballet class.... convert an old VHS of a performance to DVD. So I have most of how I will do it.... I will play the VHS in my VHS player... take the output of that into my camcorder, and have that out firewire into my Macbook Pro. So far, so good, right?

So what do I do to "capture" the video in Mac? Once captured, do I have to do anything to convert it to DVD format? I pretty much need help with everything after I get the video into the MBP...

Thanks!

You can use iMovie if you capture via Firewire, and from iMovie you can export the video to iDVD.

Or you can use iDVD directly, at least one could do that with older versions.

Have you taken a look at MRoogle, as this topic comes up every month?
