I just bought a new SSD and installing a fresh OSX onto it and wondering if I need or should install Trim Enabler? Some stuff I read online says that you don't need it with an SSD, other articles says yes, wondering what your thoughts were on this?

I had read about it a long time ago. I don't remember the details. But it's better to enable it.

If you're running a recent version of macOS, you don't need Trim Enabler. The functionality is built into the OS now.
Just run
Code:
sudo trimforce enable
in terminal then enter your password; the computer will then immediately reboot.

well I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 so I would assume I would need it for that? And what about Trim for Mountain Lion 10.8?
