Universal Viber - Cannot add profile photo

When i try to add a photo and i choose from existing i get the message "no photo or videos.... you can sync with itunes...".... but i have already synced my photos with itunes on my iphone....so?
 
The stupid reason why viber couldnt access my photos was that my camera roll was empty.... go figure....
