Is there a way to set my iphone up so that it only vibrates for the first text in a series of messages?

I want to be notified that I have received a text. However, once I am in a conversation with someone I do not need it to vibrate for every message back and forth. Additionally, sometimes in a group iMessage one person will text something to a bunch of people that I'm not able to check right away. People will start responding and my phone will keep vibrating continuously while I'm trying to finish something up.

However, I don't want to turn vibrate off completely as still want to know when I initially get a text.

Thanks

Nope. But in 7.1 the vibration will be more subtle and weaker when you are looking at the messages in the messaging app. When you are getting texts outside of the app it will vibrate as normal.

The weaker vibrate is very similar to the vibrate you get when on a call and you get a notification/text.

This is one of my favorite features of 7.1.

Can that be turned off cuz I like the vibrate?
