Hi, I was playing a bunch of 1080p videos when I started to hear a vibrating/buzzing/rattling sound coming from my Mac Pro. I don't recall ever hearing this sound before. Is there something wrong with my Mac? Thanks

Could it be the fans?

Have you looked at iStat Menus to monitor your CPU usage, the resulting temperatures and the fan speeds?

Thanks for the help. It very well could be. I opened Disk Utility and verified my drives. Disk Utility said that The Volumes appear to be ok. It also said "Verified" at the bottom. I haven't heard that noise since it occurred yesterday. It seems ok today.

Welcome to the fridge club!
Look around: there are many topics about 2009 Mac Pro's rattling/vibrating fridge-like sound.

Just an aside (not necessarily any direct bearing on what you've said):

In the depths of winter I heard my machine making the most awful juddering
rattling sound - or so I thought. I became concerned to the extent that I
turned the machine off. And then it was obvious: the noise wasn't caused
by the computer, but by a bus outside struggling in the cold weather.

What this taught me: it can be very hard to place the source of a sound.
