Video Adapter For 20 Inch Imac

I Have A Hi 8 Video Camcorder And Many Hi 8 Tapes That I Want To Convert To Dvd Using My 20" Imac.

Does Anyone Know What I Need To Be Able To Do That?

The Video Adapter That Apple Has Is For The 17".

You need an analog-to-digital converter. I believe the Elgato EyeTV250 would work, not sure about the Hybrid.

I bought a Dazzle bridge off Ebay a little over a year ago. Works well, but as far as I know they dont make them anymore, and they are even becoming hard to get from Ebay.

Others here have suggested getting a new camcorder with pass-thru ability. Essentially you hook your old hi8 camcorder into the new one, and let the new one convert the tape from analog to digital.

Regardless of which you choose, its a slow and tedious process.
