I record a video podcast, you can check it out at www.internetbuffet.tv. Here is my setup, I'm using BoinxTV to capture from a Canon HV40 through firewire and that goes into my MacBookPro. I have Skype running a video chat and that is being captured by Boinx also. For audio I'm using a M-Audio Fast Track Pro to take in audio from my Shure microphone and the M-Audio takes that audio and brings it in through USB. I'm using SoundFlower and Audio Hijack Pro to route the audio so the person on Skype can here me, I can here them and BoinxTV can hear the both of us.
The problem that I noticed is that the audio and video start out in sync and then slowly gets out of sync. By the end when I look at it in QuickTime the time for the video is slower than the audio by almost a minute and a half. To quickly fix the problem I used SyncHole to correct the sync problem but it wasn't perfect.
Now I also use just wide DV on the Canon, not HDV and I set the framerate on BoinxTV to capture at 24fps. Is capturing at 24fps while the Canon is giving me 30fps giving me this problem? Or is it a problem with SoundFlower or Audio Hijack Pro, or even Boinx? The specs of my MacBook Pro is in my sig.
