Hi all. Well im starting to get some movies from the past onto my computer and family will send me videos that are wmv files and i cant run them on my mac. Im having trouble finding a free application that can run all types of files such as wmv, avi, quicktime, etc. all on one. I hope that there is one out there please gimme a hand if you could. :D

for VLC, there's Universal and Intel package. I have the SR Macbook Pro...should I get intel package?

what is the difference anyways? which one is better?

You want the Intel package. Either one will work on your MBP, but the Intel package is slimmer because it doesn't have the extra stuff needed to make it function on PPC-based Macs. Functionality is the same for the two packages.
