Video bittorent help

I downloaded an amateur video using uTorrent. The file has 7 icons in it (VBS and _TS). Not sure how to watch it and whether it needs more conversion.
Can someone point me to the best site to understand this.

You downloaded a ripped video DVD.
Open DVD Player (in your Applications folder), press CMD+O and browse to the VIDEO_TS folder in which these .vob, .ifo and .bup files are stored in and press ENTER.

How to backup/copy/rip video DVDs to your HDD and transcode them to another format in Mac OS X.

Thanks. Can I then just drag that into iTunes if I want to compress or do I need handbrake first?

You need Handbrake first, as iTunes can't read video DVDs.
