Hoping someone can answer this.

If there is an active Zoom or MS Teams call while in stage manger mode, does the video cut out when switching to another window or app? Or when switching between apps? How about when in Split View?

I believe in iPadOS 15 the video cut out as soon as the app was not in the foreground.

Thank you.

Just wanted to say that I too am wondering this, as this is the biggest issue I have using my iPad for work - Zoom calls never keep the camera on when I switch to another window. I really hope they fix that in iPadOS 16.

Yeah, that’s why it’s my favorite of these kinds of apps. Unfortunately I’m stuck using Zoom for work!
Good to know that FaceTime doesn’t cut out. But I’m wondering more about MS Teams as that’s what we use at work (and Zoom sometimes too). So annoying when the video cuts out as soon as you navigate away from the app.

Yeah, I actually thought it was just due to me using an older iPad. This really should be fixed on the newer iPads if it isn’t already. Even when you’re not using Stage Manager, the newer iPads should be able to handle video calls from Zoom and Teams like they do with FaceTime - with a little floating window or something so the video doesn’t cut out.

Yes. I should clarify that it’s only the video feed that cuts out. The audio call stays on (thankfully).
