I need some help from you video experts here. While I'm fairly clued in on still cameras, I don't have a clue about the video kind, other than, thanks to the advice that I have read here, to stick with mini DV tape based ones.
So does anybody have any recommendations in the $250 to $300 price range? In that price bracket, who offers the best bang for the buck, Sony Panasonic or Canon, ease of use and video quality? I realize that in that price range the video quality not going to be HD, but as long as it's good enough for home movies, because that's what it will mainly be used for.
Are there any other trustworthy discount places besides B&H, Adorama and Amazon?
Thanks in advance for your help.
