I found this page on cases for the iPhone 3g,
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/flexgripiphone
If you look where the ear speaker is, there's a bigger hole than the ear piece. Now i think that apple has listened to their business customers (I most probably may be wrong,) and added a video conferencing feature. The only flaw with my finds is that Steve Jobs did not announce this at the Macworld.

Just though I'd tell you ;)

wishful thinking, but i think all they are are just really ugly iPhone cases with design flaws

:p
lawl.

EDIT: there def. arent front cameras

no, the sensors are placed on the side of the speaker, so that is the cutout for the sensors, because there are more sensors on this one (2 proximity, 1 ambient light)

oh.
that explains it then.
i think.

is that the sensors to turn the screen off when you are on a phone call with someone?

Thanks a ton :)
Shame though... But why does apple only have a photo camera! Eek!

it's the proximity sensors people!

And this makes thread #1000 for the same case. People, do a search before you post something. This case is talked about in I don't know how many threads. This case was even covered prior to WWDC in the Griffin case leak.

already stated, but the pictures and video are showing something that is not the proximity sensor. the sensors are not that visible and large when viewed from that far away

aesthetically, it's better to just mold out a spot for your ear with a large cutout like that then to have a couple of random holes littered across the top face of the case
