Video Can't Be Edited - Locked?

Video Specs:

MPEG-4, 1280 x 720, AAC, H.264, 2 Channel Count, 162 Bit Rate

Whenever I attempt to edit this video with QuickTime Pro or MPEG Streamclip, it will not let me cut footage out. (I can't crop any footage out.) I have not tried iMovie or Final Cut Pro yet. Bear in mind that this video is 720p so importing it into iMovie would take like 6 hours even on my MacBook Pro, and Rendering it in FCP? How long would that take?

The video is over 22 minutes long. I just need to extract about 8 to 10 minutes out of it. Help please!

What is the source of the video? If it's copy protected, neither QT Pro nor MPEG Streamclip will help.

It sounds like a TV show episode from iTunes ... If that is the case, you won't be able to edit it.
