Hi,

For a professional training project in which instructions for macOS and Windows (including the boot process) are to be recorded, I'm looking for a suitable video capture card for my 2019 Mac Pro. Previous attempts with cheap USB cards failed because the boot process couldn't be recorded (no signal). Does anyone here have experience with this and can give me some advice?

Thanks in advance!

What you probably want is a dedicated external recorder that sits in the display stream. Something like:

You'll need to capture to a different machine, or find a capture device that can capture direct to SD card.

Thank you for your answer! I will try that.
